January is coming to an end...and so is our “Which Movie is Better, Then or Now?" series (by the way, did you vote??).

I love a good movie that takes something I knew as a kid and transforms it into something different that I can enjoy as an adult (hey kinda like our custom reels!) Since this movie came out last week, has anyone seen it?? Looks like it had a lot of good action and some super creepy witches!

Awww a good re-release! Some may shy away from re-releases for cries of a money gimmick, but seriously, who didn't like Top Gun? This movie also comes from the era when Tom Cruise was sexiest man alive (ah, how times have changed). So, I say this re-release is a must on my radar!
Oz: The Great And Powerful

Out of everything on this list, or even this year in general, I must say that I am looking forward to this movie the most! A new twist on an old fav! The effects of the original Wizard of Oz were amazing, for 1939...and the same seems to be said for this movie. Plus, it has an all star cast of actors and actresses I love! I can't wait to see how this movie plays out! Come on March!

Another re-release! This time, one of my husband's all time favorite movies! In my opinion, this will probably be the best 3D re-release ever! No other re-release has had amazing and realistic dinosaurs that chase and feed on humans. There are some serious in your face action shots in this movie that will be even better in 3D!
Iron Man 3

Iron Man is turning out to be like another good series, Pirates of the Caribbean (in terms of movie after movie after movie!). This, now the 3rd, in the saga is one to look forward to! Let's see what that cocky Iron Man will get himself into this time! And even better, will they leave us with a cliffhanger and chance at another?
OH! On the side, another movie I am super looking forward to in May is The Great Gatsby (May 10)! It's not in 3D, but who cares! I only just recently saw the original and have to say that it was a really good movie! So tragic and so sad, yet very captivating! Oh and Leonardo DiCaprio? Yes, please!

Get the kids ready! Here we have another Monsters movie. I seriously love the concept of this movie! Take something kids are usually scared of and turn it around into something playful and funny.

A movie about snails? Ha! Makes me wonder...but also looks really cute! I gotta say, those writers over at DreamWorks have some really good imaginations!
Another non-3D side note: The Lone Ranger comes out July 3! Looking forward to this classic tale on the big screen!

I know I said I was looking forward to Oz the most this year...but maybe it is this movie? I can't decide! The Sin City movies are so unlike any other! The dark story lines and incredible effects just blows my mind! I loved the first one and canNOT wait for the second!

With all the popularity of the Lord of the Rings movies and especially the first in this series, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, how can you not be looking forward to this one?

All these movies sound so great! Whether you are into dramas, captivating series, or kid flicks, there's something for everyone! But of course, we are still waiting for that View-Master movie! :-)
